During this reporting period, Southern Rivers made significant progress in achieving its mission of enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing essential services and creating opportunities for independence and inclusion. Key achievements include: Disability Services: We offered a range of disability support services, including personal care, community participation, and assistance with daily living, helping individuals with disabilities achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Employment Opportunities: Southern Rivers created meaningful employment opportunities, particularly for individuals from refugee backgrounds who form the majority of our support workforce. By doing so, we not only supported the economic wellbeing of these individuals and their families but also strengthened community connections and inclusivity. Through these activities, we positively impacted the lives of people with disabilities and contributed to a stronger, more inclusive community. Our work continues to be driven by the vision of a society where every individual is valued and empowered to thrive.
