SACID provided capacity building activities for people with intellectual disability, their families and the wider community to enable our community to be more inclusive. These activities included responding to information requests, delivering workshops and facilitating peer support groups. SACID developed a range of information and resources in accessible formats for people with intellectual disability and their families to better help them connect with their community, services and supports. SACID represented the voice of South Australians with intellectual disability and their families through participation in state government consultations and committees, as well as through the systemic advocacy work of Inclusion Australia.
