SolarBuddy is an Australian registered charity with a vision to illuminate the future of all children by tackling energy poverty and the climate crisis. Our work is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 17) and aims to create a sustainable, equitable, thriving futures. We invest in marginalised communities through the provision of safe, reliable, and innovative solar energy solutions, so people are empowered to improve their quality of life. We believe by investing in these people and communities, we are contributing to a sustainable future for all people and the planet Our advocacy efforts aim to raise awareness, inform policy and decision makers about the importance of renewable energy and its positive impact on individuals and the environment we all share. By educating and mobilising individuals to end energy poverty, we drive meaningful change and inspire action to combat the climate crisis. SolarBuddy actively promotes partnerships with organisations, communities, and individuals who wish to deliver collective impact. We invest your donations into creating greater impact for those marginalised by access to energy. We lobby decision makers to create more equitable access to energy, and to lower the cost of energy for all. For your investment you will receive an independently, validated reports demonstrating the impact made. Through this we foster a global network committed to sustainable development and the end of energy poverty. Since our establishment, SolarBuddy has successfully distributed solar devices to people in multiple countries, including Australia, Timor Leste, Cambodia, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, India, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Thailand and Tibet. These efforts have transformed the lives of children and families, empowering them to study, work, and live with dignity.
