The Good Shepherd mission is about ensuring the emotional, economic safety of women and girls. The Sisters of the Good Shepherd have pursued their charitable purposes by providing independent living support services for vulnerable and disadvantaged ageing and aged women, including women who are former Good Shepherd residents. Many of these women have intellectual and physical disabilities and come from disadvantaged backgrounds. A number have formerly been in institutional care.
