Sinhala Association of Queensland Inc

1. The Sinhala Association of Queensland successfully continued to maintain the Brisbane Sinhala school registering with the education Queensland for the benefit of Australian born Sri Lankan children to learn the Sinhala language in Queensland. 2. Brisbane Sinhala school students were engaged in programs to run events and activities in promoting the Sri Lankan culture, aesthetic studies such as dancing and music and share similar cultures with other multicultural language schools. 3. .Sinhala association Queensland Engaged the senior citizens in multicultural projects such as annual trips, social gatherings, education programs and food culture to improve their physical and mental status thereby making them to be continuous contributors to the society. 4. SAQ successfully celebrated the Annual Sri Lankan Cultural performance Saralanga 2024 with over 280 performers on stage with Sri Lankan Dancing and Music artists from all demographics groups participated the event. 5. SAQ successfully celebrated Annual Sinhala and Tamil New Year in April 2024. This was a public event participated by over 1200 attendees from Sri Lankan and other multicultural communities 6. SAQ actively participated in Sri Lankan day organized by the Federation of Sri Lankan Association of Queensland (FSOQ) in 2024
