We provided over 30,000 hours of fulltime textiles education & employment for 8 women from low socioeconomic communities in Pondicherry, India. We have established bank accounts for the women from which they will be able to participate more readily in household decisions and develop a greater sense of agency and income stability for themselves. We hope this will continue to bring positive impacts to their families, especially in terms of education for their children and the next generation. We have provided $20,000 of support for the welfare of the women, including mental health and physical needs, the needs of family and extended community members.
