Our fundraising continued to support health and education development for more than 1000 people in 17 remote and disadvantaged communities centered around the village of Yiben in northern Sierra Leone. We continued to fund maintenance and improvements for the health facilities, provided a monthly payment to support nursing services and advocated with the Ministry of Health & Sanitation and NGOs for increased services. We again provided accommodation, food, fees and registrations for 34 secondary students to continue their education. We continued to ensure clean water supplies and to support safe, equitable access to the services by providing upkeep for the motorboat, subsidising fuel costs and replacing life jackets.
