Seed Northern Rivers

SEED Northern Rivers purpose is to collectively innovate and create collaborative pathways for regenerative local futures. We work to achieve systemslevel change across our region, aiming for the Northern Rivers to become a regenerative, resilient, and flourishing bioregion, one that has transitioned into a safe and just space for all life, where our social and ecological responsibilities are fully met. SEED Northern Rivers currently works with and supports an ecosystem of 40+ notforprofit environmental organisations, social enterprises and initiatives, across four thematic impact areas: Healing Country (Regeneration and Reforestation), The Future of Food, Education and Creative Activation, Stronger Together (Community Resilience and Climate Action). By fostering the capacity of these organisations to collaboratively tackle pressing ecological challenges, and amplify their positive impact, together, we catalyse real systemic change and a regenerative and resilient future for the Northern Rivers and beyond. This past year we continued our support to members through mentoring, peer networks, communities of practice, skills development and training, as well as business, governance, fundraising and technical support. We continued to activate and manage the 7acre Mullum Gardens EcoHub, which incubates a range of environmental initiatives including community gardens, a native nursery, a men s shed, permaculture education, and a food coop. We brought the movement together through events such as the Mullum Plant Fair, Green Drinks networking, peer support networks, skills development and training. We also launchedand continue to stewardflagship collaborative impact initiatives together with our member organisations including the Bruns River Keepers Alliance, the Northern Rivers Changemakers Hub and The Northern Rivers Food Systems Alliance. Through communityled stewardship we contribute to the Northern Rivers being recognised globally as a dynamic example for achieving regenerative change. Our work inspires, connects with, and drives local actions worldwide.
