Second Nature successfully met its mission and key objectives for the 2324 financial year through the following initiatives: Successfully carried out ongoing revegetation and weed control efforts across over 1,000 hectares within the SA MurrayDarling Basin and Fleurieu Peninsula areas, significantly enhancing local ecosystems. Continued to improve the longterm health of local waterways through our involvement with the Flows for the Future program. In collaboration with dedicated volunteers, we grew nearly 70,000 native seedlings at our Alexandrina Community nursery, significantly contributing to the restoration of regional biodiversity. Additionally, we established a new nursery in Mt Barker, where we cultivated another 30,000 native plants to support local ecological restoration efforts. Over 200 native species were propagated, ensuring a robust supply of plants for critical habitat improvement and restoration initiatives. Promoted regenerative farming practices and sustainable land management through workshops, community engagement, and field days. Continued to foster environmental awareness and engage the community through educational programs aimed at promoting conservation and sustainability.
