Research and restitution work on the endangered Gouldian Finch. In conjunction with Universities ANU and Charles Darwin we measured the effects of constant annual wildfires on the food sources and nesting sites of the Gouldian Finch. This research is ongoing but early work indicates the fires are seriously compromising Gouldian populations and are probably having similar effects on other species too.
