Save Our Wildlife Foundation

We operated a free, 24/7 wildlife advice and rescue service for the South Australian community. We responded to nearly 5,000 calls from the public and veterinary clinics about injured, sick, orphaned, or displaced animals and birds of 77 different species. Our trained, licensed carers rehabilitated over 1,000 animals in their homes, releasing them back into the wild whenever possible. To support our volunteer workforce, we provided a subsidy program, structured leadership, and a wellbeing program. We also advocated for better wildlife outcomes and habitat improvements. Additionally, we offered public education and awareness through training programs, a newsletter, and social media.
