Samaritan s Purse is a notforprofit, Christian organisation providing emergency relief and development assistance to suffering people around the world. Samaritan s Purse is meeting the physical needs of victims of war, famine, natural disaster, poverty and disease with the aim of demonstrating God s love and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. The aid and assistance are given without regard to the race, creed, gender, religion, or ethnicity of the beneficiaries. We do fundraising by means of social media, mailed and emailed newsletters and appeals as well as visiting churches and private schools. Funds are used to benefit people in developing countries with the following types of work: Education building of schools and training of teachers, literacy programs etc. Health building of clinics, training locals in health projects, sending medical teams from Australia Disaster Relief sending staff, volunteers and funding to countries affected by serious natural and manmade disasters Protection programs to train vulnerable people on how to migrate safely, programs to help returned migrants who have been exploited, training of villagers to earn incomes so as to avoid the necessity of migration Water providing communities access to clean water sources, build latrines and provide communities with hygiene training. Livelihoods the training of villagers on how best to raise farm animals and plant crops to create sustainability. In Australia we provide disaster relief in disasteraffected areas. We mobilise volunteers and staff to attend as second responders after a disaster.
