SafeCare works directly, and by supporting others, to provide benevolent relief in the form of psychologybased counselling, treatment and support to: People who have committed child sexual abuse offences or are in danger of doing so; Victims of child sexual abuse and their families; Adolescents who have or are in danger of committing sexual offences against children; People who have or are in danger of committing online child exploitation material offences; and Partners, mothers and other members of families where child sexual abuse is an issue. These people need Safecare's assistance because the counselling, treatment and support we offer: Is very effective in stopping child sexual abuse offenders continuing to offend or from beginning to offend in the first place; Works with victims and their families to minimise the impact of the abuse; and Supports the victims and their families to understand why the abuse occurred and put in place structures to stop further abuse and aims to break the cycle of intergenerational child sexual abuse.
