Rural Pride Australia has achieved its aims to progress LGBTIQA+ people feeling safer, more supported, welcome and included in regional, rural and remote Australia. We've worked with 1000s of practitioners in delivering practical workshops for the Rainbow Ready Roadmap LGBTIQA+ inclusion resource, alongside LGBTIQA+ local lived experience across over 20 communities in Victoria. We've also worked in supporting five Victorian communities that have been targeted by antiLGBTIQA+ hate and vilification, and commenced building a codesigned resource for safer events. We've worked with eight rural communities across VIC, TAS, SA and QLD, getting them to map their own communities for safety and inclusion. Finally, we've delivered online community of practice sessions for rural LGBTIQA+ leaders and practitioners to support them and their local work.
