The Corporation of the Diocesan Synod of North Queensland which was establised by an act of Parliament, covers a vast area from the Torres Straits in the North, to Normanton and Mt Isa in the West and South to Sarina. Our objective is to show the love and compassion of our Savior Jesus Christ. Some of our associated entities such as Schools and Anglicare are active across the Diocese, report in their own right because they are separately incorporated. These provide education opportunities to the public at large, while Anglicare provides services to the aged, infirmed and underprivileged. We have a number of indigenous ministries throughout the Cape and Torres Straits affording moral and spiritual guidance to all who seek help. The provision of financial assistance to indigent members of the community is a regular feature of our ministries across the Diocese. The free will offerings of the parishioners are expended in meeting these religious purposes.
