About Rosies Retreat Rescue
Rosie s Retreat Rescue Farm worked throughout the year to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need while supporting people in our local community through animalassisted and practical help programs. Our mission is to create a safe and compassionate environment where animals and people can heal, connect and thrive together. We provided daily care, veterinary treatment and safe housing for surrendered, abandoned and neglected animals, including dogs, cats, poultry and livestock. Many animals were successfully rehabilitated and rehomed, while others remain in longterm sanctuary care on the farm. The charity also supported struggling families through our Pet Pantry and Community Food Pantry, distributing donated pet food, groceries and supplies to prevent animal surrender and ease hardship. These programs were run entirely by volunteers and strengthened our community connections. Our inclusive farmbased experiences offered opportunities for people with disabilities, mental health challenges or trauma backgrounds to engage in meaningful, handson activities such as feeding, grooming and caring for animals. These experiences promoted confidence, wellbeing and social participation. We also partnered with local organisations including Foodbank, Good360 and SecondBite to share resources and reach more people in need. Through rescue work, education, and community outreach, Rosie s Retreat Rescue Farm continued to fulfil its mission of compassion and recovery helping both animals and people build safer, more hopeful futures.
