About Rollercoaster Theatre Inc.
In 2024, Rollercoaster Theatre continued to champion inclusive and innovative performing arts opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Our major highlight for the year was the successful production and performance of Tea Party! an interactive, disabilityled theatre experience that captivated audiences at the Melbourne Fringe Festival. This production was made possible through the support of the Melbourne Fringe Cash to Create grant, Pressroom Philanthropy, and a generous private donation. Tea Party! showcased the talent and humor of our 18 ensemble members and received widespread community acclaim. To support this ambitious production, we expanded our creative team, introducing a lighting designer, sound designer, set and costume designer, and stage manager. Rehearsals were carefully planned to accommodate two casts, creating a supportive and collaborative environment that celebrated the individuality and strengths of each participant. We also worked closely with parents and caregivers to provide holistic support tailored to participants' needs. Looking ahead to 2025, we aim to build on this momentum by producing another largescale performance. This year, we are placing a stronger emphasis on tailored marketing strategies to amplify awareness of Rollercoaster Theatre s unique vision and work. Additionally, we joined the Choose Art online directory at the start of 2025 to further our reach within the disability and arts communities. Key priorities for the year include securing additional funding through grants and strategic partnerships, fostering growth within the ensemble through comprehensive training for new members, and pursuing the establishment of a permanent rehearsal space. Rollercoaster Theatre remains committed to producing highquality, surprising, and thoughtprovoking work that subverts norms and celebrates the creative potential of individuals with disabilities.
