River of Art Incorporated

The 2024 River of Art Festival was held over 11 dqys from September 27 to October 7. The Festival ran over 100 events including open studios, gallery exhibitions, workshops, live music , a literary gathering, and a poetry workshop. We launched our 20 year anniversary celebrations, announced the River of Art Prize winners, and featured the exhibition of finalists along with the Salon des Refuses. The River of Art presented a captivating performance 'Baranguba' by the Djaadjawan Dancers telling one of the stories of the First People of Narooma. An estimated 15,667 people attended the Festival with a total spend of $30.2m boosting the local economy, generating art sales and promoting a thriving arts schene and community connection. Participants rated the Festival as 'excellent' and a great showcase of local artistic talent.
