RVTS on an equitable basis, to help address the health workforce needs in Rural, Remote and First Nations communities of Australia, and thereby improve the healthcare provided to Australians: 1. has provided improved medical assistance to communities by establishing and providing supervision for practitioners in Rural, Remote and First Nations communities that might not otherwise have access to that supervision along with supported vocational training programs; 2. has maintained a network of general practitioner practices, and educators, for access by doctors in Rural, Remote and First Nations communities; 3. has integrated quality improvement processes in relation to the staff in Rural, Remote and First Nations communities; 4. has promoted the profession of medical practitioners in Rural, Remote and First Nations communities; 5. has developed partnerships between practitioners to deliver high quality training in a cost efficient manner; 6. has provided training, and facilitates professional development for practitioners working in Rural, Remote and First Nations communities having regard to the recognised General Practice qualifications of the RACGP and ACRRM; in addition to: 7. ancillary purposes that are charitable in nature.
