Regional Development Australia - RiverinaRegistered

The principal activities of RDA Riverina are to work with the three tiers of government, regional business and the community to boost the economic capability and performance of the Riverina region. Through information sharing, collaboration and innovation, RDA Riverina is a champion for local communities in the Riverina, working towards developing local solutions to local problems, and ensuring the prosperity of the Riverina. We do this through programs and through supporting projects that benefit the Riverina. We support funding applications and support people moving to the Riverina as well as create links between business, industry and young people for workforce development. Objectives The strategic priorities are outlined below: build our population and increase our skilled workforce; enhance regional community liveability; encourage infrastructure investment and support for regional participation; build on our economic strengths including supporting decarbonisation and transformation to a net zero economy; and engage with diverse communities especially overseas migrants and First Nations people. To enable the achievement of its objectives, performance is measured in accordance with the below: facilitate and encourage migration, youth retention and a skilled workforce; support housing and community infrastructure and promoting regional lifestyles to create destinations of choice; collaborate to maximise investment targeting need and facilitating local suppliers and workforce opportunities; listen and work with business and industry to facilitate opportunities creating linkages and leveraging investment; and build meaningful engagement support, create linkages and support key diversification initiatives. RDA Riverina measures its performance in alignment to Regional Development Australia annual reporting to the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
