The Red Hill Op Shop raised over $170,000 in revenue during the 20232024 Financial Year as a result of sales of second hand goods. Membership fees, financial donations and bank interest also contributed a small amount to this total. All Committee members and Red Hill Op Shop members continue to provide their services on a voluntary basis. Major operating expenses were kept to minimum and included essentials such as power, rent, insurance and waste disposal costs. As a result, we were able to donate $120,000 in the same 12 month period to Peninsula Home Hospice, our main beneficiary, taking our progressive total donations to this organisation to $1,357,689. During the financial year, we also made donations to Dromana College Scholarship Program, Red Hill Show Society, Red Hill Venturers, Southern Peninsula Community Support and Information Services totalling a further $3,680.
