REACH for Nepal (RFN) aims to improve the lives of Nepalese people in the Gandaki Province through projects that enable villages to become more selfsustaining and provide children opportunities for quality education, good health and values. This will not only be benefitting them now, but also equipping them as future leaders to improve the livelihood of coming generations. Our programs are categorized under four focus areas: Infrastructure Rebuild Earthquake Resilient Schools and Health Clinics Together with leading architectural, engineering and industry collaborators, we design purposebuilt classrooms and health clinics that are earthquake resilient, using locally sourced materials to create high quality, innovative and scalable solutions. This program of work directly contributes to the objectives of the organization by rebuilding damaged and dangerous schools and health clinics that are safe and will last for generations. Village Sustainability and Disaster Response RFN Nepal s Village Sustainability projects provide opportunities for those most vulnerable in the villages. These projects help families to generate an income which in turn helps them to survive and break the poverty cycle through improved education. Our Disaster Response is typically in the form of emergency relief in times of flooding, earthquakes and epidemics. This includes medical assistance, livelihood support packages and food supplies. This program of work directly contributes to the objectives of the organization by assisting families in remote villages with opportunities to a better standard of living and options for the future. Health and Hygiene A core purpose across all our work is investment in clean water, health and basic hygiene practices. We do this through investment in infrastructure, resources and education, consistent with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This program of work contributes directly to the objectives of the organization through education and facilities to assist the prevention of diseases. Education Our education projects and resources are guided by the needs of the community, with a focus on enabling children to flourish at an early age, and educating girls and women providing opportunities to break through the poverty cycle. This program of work contributes directly to the objectives of the organization to improve education to people in remote villages in the Gandaki Province.
