QTWA s Impact and Achievements The Queensland Turkish Women Association (QTWA) continues to make a lasting impact by empowering women and children, particularly from underprivileged backgrounds, and fostering diversity within multicultural Australia. Our mission is to promote equal citizenship, resilience, and opportunities for a fulfilling and secure life. Key Initiatives and Achievements: Career Empowerment Seminars Our Navigating Success seminar provided insights from distinguished industry speakers, equipping participants with strategies for professional growth, workplace success, and safety. STEM Education Support QTWA remains committed to eliminating gender bias in STEM fields, encouraging women and children to explore opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Cultural Networking Events We continue to showcase Turkish culture and festivals, fostering crosscultural understanding and appreciation. Community Support Initiatives Through partnerships and charity events, we provide resources and support to women and children in need, helping them lead safer and more successful lives. Celebrating Recognition: Education & Youth Empowerment Excellence Award We are pleased to share a moment of immense pride QTWA was honored with the Education and Youth Empowerment Excellence Award at the Empowering Migrant Expo on August 4, 2024, at Brisbane City Hall. This recognition underscores our dedication to advancing education and empowering youth within our community. Watching the awardwinning moment again is both a humbling and exhilarating experience, reflecting the collective effort and dedication of our team and supporters. We also extend our appreciation to the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust for organizing such an inclusive and empowering event for the entire community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of this journey your support and encouragement have been invaluable in achieving this significant milestone. Active Community Engagement QTWA remains deeply engaged with the broader community. In August 2024, we proudly attended key multicultural events, including: FECCA Conference in Brisbane Advocating for the rights and inclusion of diverse communities. Luminous Festival Celebrating multiculturalism through arts, music, and performances. Multicultural Affairs Night Strengthening networks and partnerships with leaders and organizations supporting diversity and inclusion. As we continue our work, QTWA remains committed to empowering women, youth, and communities, ensuring a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
