About Queensland Doctors' Health Programme Pty Ltd

Expertise, Advice, Advocacy, Education: o Increase awareness of doctors health issues, their impact, and support occurring within the Queensland context. o Utilise the knowledge and experience derived from supporting doctors and medical students to inform advocacy with a view to improving workplace and support systems. o Achieve shared goals through engagement, collaboration, and cooperation with our networks of individual and organisational stakeholders. o Support, collaborate, and disseminate research findings to expand the evidencebased understanding of doctors health issues. Raise the profile of QDHP, its role, and its service. Strengthen support services for Queensland doctors and medical students: o Provide a best practice helpline and referral mechanism for medical students and doctors, respecting their unique characteristics as patients, including their high levels of health literacy and existing networks within the health system. o Services are offered within a supportive, enabling environment, which leads to a high degree of autonomy, using shared decisionmaking as a foundation principle of care. o Those who choose to access services offered by QDHP are assured of confidentiality, within the broader remit of mandatory reporting. o Target high need groups e.g., doctorsintraining, isolated practitioners, and IMGs. Promote and support the practice of positive health behaviours by medical students, doctors, and their workplaces. o Implement systems that ensure medical students and doctors are supported to engage in their healthcare and make informed decisions. o Ensure accountability for the delivery of safe, reliable, evidencedbased health support for doctors and medical students, based on sound clinical governance. o Supporting QDHP staff, volunteers and stakeholders: o Recruit, retain and support high quality staff, helpline volunteers, and stakeholders who are willing to provide care for other doctors. o Become a learning organisation by cultivating a culture that strongly supports learning, continuous quality improvement, and best practice, across all disciplines.
