PropConnex is an Australian charity established in 2023 by experienced industry professionals with the mission to advance and promote educational outcomes for university students and young professionals in relation to real estate finance, real estate development, and property technology (PropTech). Despite being one of the largest asset classes in the world, real estate as an investable asset class is often overlooked by students when they about future career paths. PropConnex aims to increase student awareness that the real estate industry is a large and diverse industry that offers a variety of interesting career opportunities. PropConnex will develop educational programs such as the Cornell PropConnex International Case Competition that bring together students and industry leaders to analyse a range of real estate investment opportunities based on actual real estate deals. These programs will enable students to not only learn the basic fundamentals of real estate finance and development but broaden their social networks into new sectors and new markets so they can find their career passion.
