About Project Respect Incorporated
We provided referral and support services to women and gender diverse people with experience in the sex industry to achieve selfdirected goals, including equitable access to services. We provided referral and support services to women and gender diverse people who have experienced sexual exploitation (including trafficking), whether current, historic, international or domestic, to achieve selfdirected goals, including equitable access to services. We provided community engagement activities (including community connection events and outreach) and sector capacity building through training, community services outreach, and by providing secondary consultation. We advocated for structural change to end sexual exploitation. We advocated for increased safety in working conditions for those in the sex industry. We provided a platform to elevate and amplify the voices of, while also being informed and guided by, those with past and present lived experience, including through our Lived Experience Advisory Group. We engaged with and undertook research to increase understanding of support needs and to improve services for the communities we support.
