The principle objective of Pregnancy Assistance Inc. is to provide relief of poverty, suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution or helplessness for pregnant women of all sections of the public, irrespective of race, colour or creed. All activities undertaken in 2020 have been in line with this principal objective. The service includes postabortion grief counselling, which is also in line with the purpose of Pregnancy Assistance Inc. given that it is closely linked to pregnancy (i.e. loss of pregnancy). An increase in homelessness has become apparent, and Pregnancy Assistance provides support to pregnant women who are homeless.
