The Association is established to be a charity whose purpose is to advance education and social welfare by operating a children s centre to provide support, care, and programs that foster the development, education, and welfare of young Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander children and disadvantaged children. The services of the Association are also extended to benefit all Children within the community. In the provision of these services, the Association shall: emphasise that the paramount consideration is the interests of the Children; (ii) endeavor to reflect the multicultural and multilingual nature of the community; (iii) involve Parents and other community members; (iv) evaluate and monitor the nature of these services to ensure that the highest standards are attained; (v) ensure, as far as possible, that special needs of individual groups of Children are addressed by the provision of the services; and (vi) do all such other things as may be incidental to the attainment of such objects. 4.
