We provide clinical support to our members via free personal appointments, telephone and email counselling, on current and developing concerns due to the Late Effects of Polio and other health and disability issues. We refer people to specialised hospital and private clinics where staff are knowledgeable of the special needs of polio survivors. We provide quarterly information newsletters that cover current concerns of our members, including issues to do with both Covid and Long Covid issues. We have a range of small booklets covering specific areas of health concerns and selfhelp options that may be used to help remedy them. We are continually updating our website to give members other avenues of gaining answers to health concerns as they surface, with input from local health professionals. We provide an avenue and access to, for obtaining reliable, best quality nutritional supplements through our Clinical office, by personal attendance for pickups, or by our posting them out via Australia Post. This works well as many members are not physically able to access these because of their disabilities, lack of local availability or because they reside in remote areas where these aids are not readily available.
