As Australia's sole national peak organisation for polio survivors, we develop enhanced knowledge and management of the Late Effects of Polio across the health and community sectors through education and information, promoted and delivered both facetoface and online. We instigated and maintain the Australian Polio Register. We promote bestpractice research into the Late Effects of Polio, and produce printed and webbased resources for polio survivors and the health professionals who treat them. We advocate for recognition of, and appropriate health and disability service provision for, Australia's polio survivors, including younger polio survivors from migrant and refugee backgrounds. We create positive visibility of polio survivors in the community.
