PIOA main focus is in providing orthopaedic education for doctors managing orthopaedic conditions in the Pacific Island countries. PIOA runs weekly online training sessions on Zoom. In additon we run a live in module for 23 weeks twice a year. In 2024 these were held in Suva, Fiji and Apia, Samoa. 3 studnets completed training in 2024 and brings the total number of graduates to 12. There are a further 25 students from 10 Pacific Island countries.
