Main Activities (1 July 2023 30 June 2024) During the 2024 reporting period, our charity was actively engaged in a range of community development and public awareness initiatives, with a strong focus on domestic and family violence (DFV) prevention, cultural safety, and collaborative advocacy. Key activities included: Collaborative projects with White Ribbon Australia, Established ACAG(Act Community action group) initiative, promoting respectful relationships and gender equality amongst CALD groups in ACT. A series of community engagement events, including family hikes, dinners with a purpose, and Culturally sensitive DFV Awareness events, sports for youth activities. In May 2024, we delivered Women s Safety Workshops with a special focus on CALD communities, in partnership with Pink Umbrella International and Aloo International. Ongoing awareness and advocacy activities highlighting issues of domestic violence and family safety. The Dad and Daughter event (June 2, 2024), cohosted with FINACT and the CHETNA Team, fostering intergenerational dialogue and cultural accountability around gender roles and family dynamics. These activities contributed to increased public awareness, community connection, and capacitybuilding among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) populations. Ongoing awareness and advocacy efforts on domestic violence prevention, including targeted campaigns and forums for immigrant communities. Active domestic violence prevention advocacy at various levels, including grassroots community engagement, policy dialogue, and sector collaboration. Survey participation via ANROWS.
