Photo Australia presented PHOTO 2024 International Festival of Photography with over 150 artists across 100 exhibitions. PHOTO 2024 transformed Melbourne into a citywide celebration of photography that extended to cities in regional Victoria. PHOTO Australia commissioned ten Australian artists to create new works and offered professional development to the next generation of photographers through the New Photographers program. The festival's events program included the PHOTO 2024 Ideas Summit and a celebration of photobooks at the Abbotsford Convent. PHOTO Australia also presented Queer PHOTO, a standalone festival of LGBTQIA+ photography in collaboration with Midsumma across Melbourne s western suburbs.
