We assisted 194 cats and kittens in FY24 and found families for 131 cats and kittens. We also continued to strengthen our connections to the community with community desexing days, kitten adoption days and building relationships with key councils. We also started a last litter program that supports the desexing of mum cats and returning them to their owners to stop the breeding cycle. We also take their kittens into rescue to ensure that they re desexed, vaccinated and microchipped prior to being adopted out. We also started a program to assist people to rehome their cats without them coming into rescue. We do this by utilising our social media presence to connect people who need to surrender animals with people who are looking to adopt older animals.
