Our objective is to ease the impact and reduce the incidence of spinal cord injuries in Australia. To achieve this objective, we run three programs. Firstly, a membership program protecting our members who are entitled to claim $250,000 in the event of a spinal cord injury with the aim of payment as early as possible to cover rehabilitation and home modification costs. Secondly, a prevention program whereby PBF staff who have sustained a spinal cord injury present their story to schools and organisations to promote safe behaviour; and thirdly, support for those who have recently sustained a spinal cord injury through our peer support and gifting program.
