Paws Darwin

In 2024, PAWS Darwin and its associated entities continued to make a significant impact in animal welfare, community support, and education. Our key achievements include: Rehoming 500 animals annually, providing them with loving homes and improving the lives of adopters through companionship. Providing over 1,500 veterinary appointments through the PAWS Darwin Community Vet, ensuring essential medical care for shelter animals and community pets in need. Supporting 35 registered ownertrained service dogs through Heart Dogs NT, empowering individuals with disabilities to lead more independent lives. Expanding therapy dog visits to schools, disability services, and hospitals, offering emotional support and companionship to those in need. Delivering community education programs on responsible pet ownership, service dog training, and animal welfare to schools, public events, and local organisations.
