Oyster Harbour Catchment Group Incorporated

Oyster Harbour Catchment Group Inc is a community landcare group managed by volunteers and established in 1992. The group uses federal and state Govt funding, and some private sponsorship, for landcare activities in the Oyster Harbour Catchment. This is an area of approximately 40,000 Ha's with the main tributaries being the Kalgan and King rivers. The health of the harbour and tributaries is the driver for environmental works which include fencing, revegetation, weed and pest control. There is also a sustainable agricultural focus which encourages best practice to reduce environmental impacts while maintaining/improving productivity.
