Operation Flinders Foundation transforms the lives of young people through our adventure therapy programs. At the core of our programs is the 8day camp, which takes place on Yankaninna Station, in the far northern Flinders Ranges. Young people aged from 1318 trek across the property, assisted by experienced volunteers, whilst learning about navigation, bushcraft, indigenous culture and nature. Young people are referred to us by schools and individually through out Step Out program. In 2024, the Foundation celebrated its 10,000th young person in the program. The Foundation also transforms young people by working with DCP in oneonone mentoring through the Adventure Mentoring Program. We also have many opportunities after the 8day camp, with our Next Step Program which currently has over 300 participating. The Foundation works with young people from across South Australia and aims to promote the development of connection, purpose and resilience.
