The principal activities of the association during the financial year were to provide help to all members of the community who require psychological intervention. For example, persons who have mental illnesses or disabilities such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, addictive behaviours, posttraumatic stress disorders and autism. It also works to promote the prevention of mental illnesses through earlyintervention education and advocacy programs in schools. Provisional psychologists provide professional psychological therapy to schoolaged students and people requiring treatment in the local agedcare residential facilities. Registrar psychologists provide treatment for general members of the community across all ages. Drawing on a relational workforce and training model, the association seeks to address the biggest hurdle to providing psychological services in rural areas of Australia the lack of an adequate workforce.
