The Olive Pink Botanic Garden was open to the public 350 days during the year for the purpose of education, conservation and recreation. The Garden displays a collection of over 600 Central Australian plant species including culturally important bushfoods and medicine plants as well as rare species. The Garden hosts arts and cultural events and community organisations regularly use the facilities including Children's Ground, Australian Plant Society, Field Naturalists Society and Landcare.
