The principal purpose of The Old Haleians Association (Inc.) Scholarship Trust is to further the interests of Hale School through the support of the education of children through scholarships, bursaries or prizes for study at the School for boys who meet the applicable eligibility and selection criteria. In 2013, assisted by funds contributed by the Old Haleians Association, including from the proceeds of the Old Haleians Association raffle and donations from members of the Hale community, the Old Haleians' Association formalised the introduction of the Trust, with the intention of broadening its support of families who send their boys to the School. At times, families who intend to send their boy(s) to Hale or who have boys already enrolled at the School fall on hard times due to circumstances beyond their control. The financial constraints of their situation can lead to a decision to not send them or to withdraw them from the School part way through their life at Hale. The Trust has been established to formalise the support of families who find themselves in this situation.
