We provided funding to provide speech therapy to children suffering communication and swallowing difficulties in Cambodia (Cambodia Children) to train Cambodian people in basic speech therapy strategies to assist Cambodian Children and in more depth via the creation of a university course in speech therapy; to train Cambodian teachers (early years, primary and secondary) to accept and better accommodate Cambodian Children into class rooms, utilising strategies that support children with communication and learning difficulties; to develop speech therapy tools and resources relevant to Cambodian language and culture; to create a network and in time, an associations for Cambodian speech therapists.
