About OCI Foundation Limited

ON HEALTH: The OCI Foundation maintained its partnership with one of Africa s largest youth organisations, Nigeria s National Youths Service Corps, the NYSC. Through this partnership, we delivered another five editions of our signature health program, the Arm Our Youths (ArOY) Anticancer Health Campaign. This brings it to 17 completed editions till the partnership was started in February 2022. It reaches over half a million youths yearly (over the past three years) with lifesaving and inspirational talks and activities. The ArOY Health Campaign also has two other components. One is the CerviBreast Mobile Phone Application, an innovative and interactive anticancer App that is freely available on the Google and Android play stores. It is a lifesaver, a globalfirst, and a multiawardwinning technological initiative of the OCI Foundation. The final component of our ArOY Health Campaign is the Gynocular Project, which facilitates free and/or highly subsidised digital cervical cancer screenings for Nigerians. The centre in Abuja, Nigeria s Federal Capital Territory, which was commissioned on February 3rd, 2022, continues to serve scores of Nigerian women Annually. On the first centre was Abuja. There is also the ArOY Health Campaign Schools Challenge , a quiz contest designed to enhance engagement with the ArOY Health Campaign among senior secondary schools in Anambra State, Nigeria. This competition involves all the 261 public senior secondary schools in the State, with the Grand Finale held yearly on February the 4th, the Global World Cancer Day. The inaugural, 2021/2022 version was highly successful. The program starts its 3rd (2023/2024) Edition in November 2023. 2) ON EDUCATION The OCI Foundation s annual scholarships added a 7th tier, which now expands the reach of our scholarships to many other Nigerians. The scholarships are uniquely designed, given that they are primarily interlinked, with the potential for a recipient to stay on its various levels from junior to senior secondary schools and then through to the completion of their tertiary studies. 3) PUBLIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE This is the third and final footing of the OCI Foundation s activity tripod. In 2024, we continued to seek the implementation of the 2nd legislative bill initiated by the OCI Foundation through the Nigerian National Assembly to ensure that teaching on Sexual and GenderBased Violence (SGBV) mitigating measures. We also appointed a Girl Child Ambassador to assist with bridging the gender divide in Northern Nigeria, particularly that orchestrated by the Boko Haram insurgency. This part of the OCI Foundation s activities also allows us to continue sponsoring several social activities across multiple activities in Nigeria, including a soccer outfit alongside empowerment programs that see beneficiaries trained in various skills acquisition programs.
