The Northern Rivers Jewish Community Association exists to foster a vibrant, inclusive and resilient Jewish community throughout the Northern Rivers region. Our programs and activities directly support this vision by creating opportunities for connection, cultural engagement, education, wellbeing and community support. Through regular Shabbat and festival celebrations, educational programs, social gatherings and community events, we provide meaningful opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with Jewish life, strengthen their Jewish identity and build lasting relationships. These activities help reduce social isolation, promote community cohesion and ensure that Jewish traditions, values and culture continue to thrive in the region. Our volunteerled initiatives encourage active participation, leadership development and community responsibility. By bringing people together in a welcoming and supportive environment, we strengthen social networks and foster a sense of belonging among members, families and visitors. The Association also delivers programs focused on health, wellbeing and inclusion, ensuring that community members have access to support, connection and opportunities for personal growth. Particular attention is given to families, children, young people, seniors and those who may be vulnerable or socially isolated. In addition, we actively promote interfaith and intercultural understanding, building positive relationships with the broader Northern Rivers community and contributing to a more harmonious and inclusive society.
