About North Sydney Community Service Ltd
Our inhome and centrebased services and activities assist older people, people with a disability, migrants, parents and people who are homeless or at risk. Specialist staff and more than 200 enthusiastic volunteers are dedicated to providing quality community programs and services that connect our community, help individuals maintain their independence, reduce social isolation, enhance quality of life and sustain community wellbeing. We are supported by Commonwealth, State and Local Government, as well as local schools, churches, businesses, service clubs, other agencies and individuals. In 202324, we supported older people and people with a disability by providing home delivered and community restaurant meals, assisting people with shopping and small errands, making beds and delivering fresh sheets and towels, and offering a variety of social and healthy ageing activities. Migrants connected with others in their community by participating in English conversation classes, homework help, employment workshops, Bollywood music, Chinese seniors, Japanese and Spanish speaking mothers groups. People who are homeless or at risk came along to our Centre for a shower and a hot meal.
