The orchestra has continued to thrive artistically, presenting another successful season of 4 concerts including one free public concert in the Queens Gardens botanical park. For the many musicians who are music teachers we provided an essential performance platform to maintain and enhance their skills, which are otherwise limited to the teaching environment. The orchestra demonstrated its role as a pathway to excellence for talented Townsville music students. By joining, they gained opportunities to play with highly skilled musicians, way above their school music group experiences.
