Nimbin Aquarius Foundation Incorporated

We encouraged local artists by opening up the space for 2nd generation local artists to create works through various printmaking modalities, and work towards giving free and low cost workshops to local people of multiple generations. We formed an Aquarius Archives working group, working towards applying for grant funding and finding methods, modalities and spaces to store and display important local cultural archives, including information about local activism, counterculture and indigenous involvement. We supported and provided information for locals putting on community events related to the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Nimbin Aquarius festival We networked with local artists and community members to strengthen our charitable purpose and reengage people through the multiuse space within the Nimbin Community Centre.
