The Company is established with the purpose of supporting the effectiveness of charities that advance social or public welfare and other purposes beneficial to the Australian public, including neighbourhood houses, through: 3.1.1 the provision of pro bono administrative management and industrial relations services, and thereby further the public interest, improve access to professional services for not for profit organisations and support equal access for community groups; 3.1.2 informing not for profit organisations of relevant legislative changes that impact the sector and to develop and provide training in areas undergoing change; and 3.1.3 improving access to administrative management services and industrial relations services for those who are disadvantaged or marginalised, to: (a) identify matters of public interest requiring business support service assistance or industrial relations information. (b) advocate for change in areas that impact on not for profit organisations; (c) refer individual, community groups, neighbourhood houses and other notforprofit organisations to private practice Business Administrators and other service providers in ancillary or related fields willing to provide their services at notforprofit rates or free of charge; (d) support and enhance community organisations in pursuing the interests of the communities that they represent; (e) provide support and advice to empower notforprofit and community based organisations to comply with relevant reporting and regulatory requirements that impact on the organisation.
