Our charity s programs have successfully furthered our mission to inspire and provide performance opportunities to young musicians. Through 20232024, we engaged young musicians in various highquality music events and collaborative performances that enriched their cultural experience and personal growth as artists. Sydney Opera House Graduation Concert (October 2023): Our musicians joined others from across Australia in this iconic venue, gaining invaluable experience performing on a national stage and connecting with broader musical communities. Christmas Concert (December 2023): This event brought students, families, and community members together in celebration of the holiday season, showcasing the talents of our young musicians and fostering a sense of achievement and joy. Senior Musicians Solo Performance and Ensemble Concert (June 2024): Senior musicians performed solo pieces and ensemble arrangements, highlighting their skill progression and dedication. This concert offered a platform to build confidence and receive recognition for their hard work. Workshop at The Junction Public School (August 24, 2024): In collaboration with Julie Logan Music Choir and Junction Public String Ensembles, our musicians participated in a workshop to improve ensemble playing and foster teamwork. This partnership provided diverse musical perspectives, promoting artistic development. Annual Celebration Concert at Harold Lobb Auditorium (September 21, 2024): Our members collaborated with Julie Logan Music Choir and Junction Public Strings, performing in a formal concert setting that encouraged professionalism and commitment. This event strengthened community bonds and showcased the combined talents of our ensembles. EndofYear Christmas Concert (Term 4, 2024): NYSM members are currently preparing for this festive event, which will close the year with a community celebration of music and student achievements. Through these programs, we have not only provided performance opportunities but also fostered a collaborative and inspiring environment where young musicians can grow in skill, confidence, and community.
