3MBS Melbourne 103.5FM is an inclusive and innovative community broadcaster that strives for the highest quality in programming and presenting of classical music, and in supporting and promoting local artists and performances. The station delivers a diverse range of classical, jazz and genrerelated programs to over 173,000 weekly listeners, 24 hours a day on three bands: 103.5FM, 3MBS Digital and online. Philanthropic funds raised for the station in 2024 included funds for the station s new streaming website, relocation of the transmission site at Mount Dandenong and support of the sector s artists in the station s Made in Melbourne live events program. In 2024 3MBS supported the career development of over 83 young musicians through the programs, The Talent, The Young Performer Award and through broadcast performance/ interview opportunities. This year s initiatives included live to air performances for secondary school students and artists studying at the Australian Academy of Music. In 2024, 3MBS recorded over 200 live performances and concerts to help promote Melbourne s classical and jazz musicians and to continue archiving the diversity in music performance in Melbourne.
